Writing here to say I’m starting a new newsletter, so if you liked The Only Times I’ve Ever Known while it existed, you should follow Transient Peak, launching in January with the miniseries Nothing Deep To Say.
I didn’t want to just transfer the existing base from three years ago, but I did want to notify everyone that supported me then because that support meant a lot. I started that newsletter in a horrible time and I’m starting this one in a slightly different horrible time. Wish me luck! Sign up here at your own leisure.
I wanted to have a hub for all the things i’ve been doing, including writing, mixing, podcast editing, and even releasing my own music — but I also had this non-self-absorbed idea where queer musicians, instead of talking about their identity, could talk about their music first and get super nerdy. As I say in the introductory post, I’d rather see into someone's Pro Tools session than their soul.
So, Nothing Deep To Say was born, named after a lyric by the first guest, Pictoria Vark. I’ve already conducted couple of the interviews and it’s turning out beautifully.
First issue is out January 15th, and the interviews will come out every two weeks from there. After that, I’m thinking of bringing Imploders back, and doing a series where I go through a discography I haven’t heard before. Incredibly excited to embark on this, and if you’re reading this, I hope you join me.
See you on Ghost!
